Magical Christmas Nativity Carol Service
On Wednesday evening, our school community gathered in the serene glow of our chapel for the annual Christmas Candlelit Carol Service—a truly magical celebration of music, joy, and togetherness.
The evening began with a wonderful showcase of instrumental talent. Our Senior Trad Band opened the service with a skilful and cohesive performance, followed by a lively duet from Sean and Aoibheann on clarinet and flute, bringing festive cheer with their rendition of Jingle Bells. A huge thank you to Mrs. Mohan, our outstanding music teacher for preparing the pupils so well.
Before the main performance, we expressed heartfelt gratitude to all local businesses and individuals who supported our Christmas Raffle and fundraising efforts. Your generosity helps us continue to enhance outdoor play facilities, upgrade digital resources, and fund wellbeing and learning programmes—making a real difference for every child.
The highlight of the evening was the whole-school performance from P1–P7, filling the chapel with beautiful singing, expressive acting, and heartfelt readings. Our P7 pupils led the way with confidence and creativity, bringing the nativity story to life in a meaningful and memorable way. Every class contributed something unique, and together, the children captured the true spirit of Christmas.
We are incredibly proud of all our pupils for their bravery and talent, and we extend sincere thanks to our dedicated staff—especially Miss Fox, for her hard work in directing and preparing this exceptional event.
Finally, thank you to all parents and guardians for your continued support and for joining us in this special celebration. Your presence made the evening even more memorable for the children.
From all of us at St Mary’s Primary School, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy, blessed New Year.
